KENYA – Mabati Rolling Mills (MRM), a member of the Safal Group, has opened a new showroom in Kiambu County, becoming the first in the country and the second investment made by MRM in Kiambu county.

The showroom will be a one-stop-shop for roofing sheets; residential, commercial and industrious, building accessories, trussing, pre-engineered building solutions, flashing and closures and ventilation solutions

MRM CEO Manish Mehra, who spoke during the opening ceremony, said that the investment is part of the firm’s strategic plan to expand its footprint in Kenya to ensure that MRM products and services are more accessible to its clients and customers.

“As a company, we strive to create absolute customer experience and engagement. We are doing this by bringing our services closer to our customers therefore granting more convenience to them,” added Manish.

“As we continue to innovate and expand our product portfolio in the country, we want to ensure that we get closer to our customers as much as possible.”

The event was officiated by the Trade, Tourism, Cooperatives, and Enterprise Development County Executive Committee (CEC) member David Wamwea.

Wamwea, on his part, lauded MRM’s contribution towards the economic growth of the county and the country at large noting that the showroom will make it seamless for customers in Kiambu town and its environs to purchase building solutions and products.

“This new entry means more business opportunities for our people. It means also that there will be effectiveness when our residents are looking for services they will be able to get them quite nearer as opposed to going to Thika or other outlets outside Kiambu County. There are opportunities in affordable housing, manufacturing.” he added.

In addition to over-the-counter purchase, customers seeking to further their knowledge as well as seeking advice in building and construction solutions will now have free and direct access to engineers and experts in the arena, while offering free consultation for both residential and commercial building requirements.
