MOROCCO – Ryanair, the Irish low-cost carrier, has launched winter flights, linking Moroccan airports with a number of European countries.

The airline said its winter flight schedule connects Marrakech with several European destinations such as Barcelona, Madrid, Zaragoza, and Valencia

The same program also offers customers flights to Ibiza, Bergamo, Rome, and Toulouse among others. The airline announced flights that will connect Agadir with French cities such as Bordeaux and Marseille.

The Fez Saiss airport will also provide Ryanair flights to European cities  such as Spain’s Barcelona, Madrid, Seville, Malaga, Valencia, and France’s Marseille, Nimes, and Toulouse.

Ryanair also proposes to operate flights from the airports of Essaouira, Ouarzazate, Oujda, Rabat, Tangiers, Tetouan, and Nador to a number of European destinations.

The flight’s prices will begin from MAD 139 (US$14). Passengers can book flights starting from September until October from the company’s website or agencies.

Travelers can modify and extend their travel time without incurring additional charges as long as they do it seven days before their flight.

In July, Ryanair announced the opening of a third air base in Morocco’s Agadir, Moroccan television channel 2M announced. Over 40 airplanes are operating after Morocco announced resumption of flights on June 15.

Morocco continues to maintain its borders partially closed. Travelers will need to provide certain requirements to enter the country, including a negative PCR test, a vaccination passport and a hotel booking for quarantine if required.

Travelers coming to Morocco by air are classified by specific categories: list A and list B categories. Passengers from list A are free to enter and exit the country at their will, provided they present a negative pcr test result, or show proof of vaccination.

Travelers from list B will need to show proof of vaccination, or they will be subject to a 10-day hotel quarantine upon arrival.
