SolarX partners Schneider Electric to combine their businesses for prospective clients

AFRICA – SolarX, a provider of clean and efficient solar solutions, and Schneider Electric (SE), a global specialist in energy management and automation, have announced that they have entered into a geographically focused strategic partnership.

The partnership will combine Schneider Electric’s world class technological offering and vast global footprint in Francophone Africa with SolarX’s solid local expertise, EPC capabilities and financial offerings to prospective clients.

“Our partnership with Schneider Electric – a leading global technology provider – is much valued and welcomed,” Karim Ghammache, SolarX CEO said.

“SolarX’s deep knowledge of the local market, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) capabilities, and competitive financial offering to commercial and industrial clients complements Schneider Electric’s offering, which will ensure customers are provided with more efficient and competitive microgrid solutions.

“As we expand to Niger and Senegal, expanding our current portfolio of Mali and Burkina Faso, this partnership not only allows us to leverage opportunities through SE partners in Francophone Africa, but also provides competitive offers to our clients.”

Technology is an integral part of most renewable energy projects – and increasingly so with the growth of a number of renewable projects, that most clients recognize the need to incorporate efficient and competitive microgrid solutions.

This partnership brings deep knowledge in smart and clean technologies that maximizes outcomes of the microgrid, deep knowledge of the geographical market, business and technology development, as well as deployment and market expansion in Francophone Africa.

“SE and SolarX’s partnership to provide world class technology to commercial and industrial clients in Francophone Africa is a clear indication of our joint commitment to grow our presence in the region and enables us to continue providing the best solutions for our clients,” Mattieu Mounier, Schneider Electric Microgrid LoB Leader said.

“Working as team, we will unlock the market potential in the region and ensure SolarX clients receive the best technological offerings.”

Additionally, SE will provide SolarX with a broader market reach and introduction to new partners in other geographies within Francophone Africa.

The collaboration represents a new way for both companies to address market needs, more specifically the need for reliable and cost-efficient renewable technological solutions.

SolarX is a renewable energy company focused on providing reliable, clean and affordable energy solutions to commercial and Industrial clients in West Africa.

By offering a one-stop shop for commercial clients, the company provides easy access to financing and energy efficiency services while allowing the companies to focus on their core business while operating on environmentally friendly and cost-efficient energy sources.

The company was founded by the management team of Omnium who have been operating in Mali for the past 20 years and have been experiencing similar pain points given their nature of business.

Their focus on the manufacturing sector opened their eyes to the need for cheaper, reliable and efficient energy sources.
