MOROCCO – Vivo Energy Morocco and the Foundation for Research, Development, and Innovation in Science and Engineering (FRDISI) are joining forces to support young Moroccan entrepreneurs.

The two parties have agreed on the “Entrepreneurship Caravan,” which promotes youth entrepreneurship in an innovative way, in line with Morocco’s National Initiative for Human Development (INDH).

Supporting entrepreneurship is a national priority in the New Development Model of West African country according to Hind Mejjati Alami, Vivo Energy communication and CSR director in Morocco.

She also emphasized that the agreement is in keeping with Vivo Energy Morocco’s commitment to completely support the development of our youth.

Hicham Medromi, FRDISI president delegate emphasized that the entrepreneurial spirit consists of a willingness to act in order to bring about change, novelty, and project realization.

Medromi added that cultivating entrepreneurial attitudes is critical for allowing young people to have an entrepreneurial mentality throughout their life.

Of the partnership with Vivo Energy Morocco, he further noted that the entrepreneurial caravan will grow in relevance and aims to reach even more youth.

The entrepreneurship caravan helped more than 270 young people to create their businesses in 2020 and recorded 420 business creations in 2021.

Young people from 17 provinces and prefectures, namely Casablanca, Mohammedia, Sidi Bennour, and several other regions of the country, will be accompanied during this year’s edition.

Through this initiative, the oil company intends to reach 400 companies created and thus expand the entrepreneurial structure.

The caravan stays for about ten days in each region; 40,000 people are expected this year and will benefit from a total of 20,000 hours of training.

This is in order to provide the necessary information on the programs and support initiatives for business creation.

Beyond introducing young people to entrepreneurship through various programs, Vivo Energy contributes to the personal development of these young people by implementing measures that aim to inspire, support, and energize entrepreneurship.

The objective is to make them the future economic actors of the country.

Vivo Energy Morocco is the firm in charge of marketing and distribution of Shell fuels and lubricants in Morocco, as well as Butagaz liquefied petroleum gas.
