GHANA – Vodafone Ghana has made two new additions to its Senior Management team in line with a company strategy of charting a leadership path in innovation and creativity.

The two new members of the senior management team are Haytham Ammar- who has been appointed Finance Director-and Tawa Bolarin – who joins Vodafone’s management team as the Director for the enterprise unit, Vodafone Business

According to Vodafone, the appointments will provide leadership for the Enterprise and Finance functions of the business.

Haytham joins the Ghanaian unit from Vodafone Egypt, where he held various leadership roles in Decision Support, Planning, Costing and Investor Relations.

As Head of Decision Support, Haytham drove key strategic projects including Egypt’s 4G rollout, infrastructure agreements and cost efficiency programmes, Vodafone revealed in a press statement.

Haytham is a Certified Management Accountant (CIMA) and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting and Finance from Helwan University, Egypt, the statement revealed.

Tawa, a Chartered Marketer with an MBA from the University of Westminster joins Vodafone Ghana with 15-years’ experience in the telecommunications industry, having previously held leadership roles in multinational companies including Bharti Airtel Nigeria, British Telecom, MTN and Virgin Media (UK).

Vodafone Ghana is the country’s second largest telecommunication operator with a market share of 21.92 as of 2016 statistics.

The company came into being in 2008 when global multinational telecommunications company, Vodafone Business acquired a 70% stake in Ghana Telecom.

The company has in the recent past been focusing on restructuring its business to make it more agile and competitive and the new senior appointments will be crucial in enabling the company actualize its goals.
